Balance of Project works at Goldwind Australia’s $400 million, 175-megawatt White Rock Wind Farm. The farm has the capacity to power about 75,000 homes. Fulton Hogan’s contract included construction of a 42km access road, concrete foundations to support the giant turbines and their 121-metre rotors, and all the electrical works to bring the electricity from the turbines to the grid.

Element Engagement

Element provided the post approval environmental management and compliance services for this State significant development (SSD) project including:

  • On-site Environment Manager providing environmental advice
  • Preparation of consistency assessments
  • Preparation of environmental work method statements
  • Environmental compliance monitoring and reporting

Project Achievements

Through a collaborative, solutions focused approach, Element’s Environment Manager:

  • educated the construction team on the benefits of applying all approved and best practice environmental management controls and mitigation measures; and
  • provided solutions to environmental challenges as they occurred during construction to meet environmental management and compliance obligations.
