Project Details

Boral’s Berrima Cement Works is an integrated clinker and cement manufacturing operation in New Berrima. Limestone mined at Boral’s Marulan South Limestone Mine is combined with quarried shale in a dry manufacturing process. It is heated in a kiln to produce clinker, some of which is ground to produced cement.

Element Engagement

Element’s engagement included:

  • Preparation of the Environmental Management Plan to incorporate the new project components
  • Updating the Operational Environmental Management Plan to reflect contemporary guidelines
  • Working with an air quality specialist to ensure the plan met EPA requirements
  • Preparation of the Annual Environmental Management Review

Project Achievements

We used our extensive experience in construction and operational environmental management to develop environmental management documentation that is practical and easy to understand for site personnel to achieve better environmental compliance.
